How we work

Fire performance is a property of a tested assembly, not of a product description. When a project calls for a fire rating, we confirm the tested configuration that applies to your door set, in writing, and supply the corresponding evidence with the quotation. Where the rating you need cannot be demonstrated on the assembly we would be supplying, we tell you before you order.
The fire-resistant range shares the construction logic of the acoustic range, which is what allows a set to be specified for both requirements at once, as hotel corridors and apartment entrance doors usually are.

Markets and approvals
UK and the Middle East.
UK projects typically ask for a fire door set to a stated period of resistance demonstrated against the relevant British or European test standard, with the certificate issued for the tested assembly. Gulf projects usually add a civil defence or authority approval step on top of the test evidence.
We quote per project and per market, and we will tell you which approvals the set will need for the jurisdiction it is going to, so that the paperwork is planned at order stage rather than discovered on site.
