What we supply
Door sets, not just doors.
A door set is a door, a frame, the seals and the ironmongery, tested and supplied as one assembly. That matters acoustically: a door leaf that tests well on its own will leak sound through the frame if the set is not built and installed as a system.
SONIG supplies single leaf, double leaf and interconnecting door sets on one common construction. The acoustic rating comes from that construction plus the seals, the threshold and the way the set is fitted. We publish the tested values for each configuration, and we supply the same set that was tested.

Where the number is used
Applications and the ratings they ask for.
Hotel guest room doors, interconnecting rooms between two guest rooms, serviced apartments, hospitals and clinics, offices and education. The requirement usually comes from an acoustician or from a hotel operator's standard, for example 35 to 45 dB between a corridor and a room, or a higher figure between two rooms that can both be occupied.
Tell us the required reduction at the position, not just the door, and we will say which tested configuration meets it. If the requirement is beyond what the tested assemblies can demonstrate, we say so rather than selling you a hopeful number.
